Service Leadership Programs Committee

This committee is responsible for Service Leadership Programs (Builder's Clubs, Key Clubs, Circle K, etc), Community Services, and Kiwanis International (Eliminate). Current Projects include Head Start Christmas Gifts Shopping, Dr Seuss Day, Boys & Girls Club Reading Days, etc.

This committee provides opportunities to serve, to lead, to grow and to belong. It includes Kiwanis Club advisors for each sponsored SLP club. The main objective is to provide support for each club in the form of financial sponsorship, training for advisors and leaders, and guidance in event and meeting planning.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Be the Kiwanis liaison to all Key Clubs, Builder’s Clubs, and Circle K Clubs (as needed)
• Support clubs as needed and attend meetings as much as possible
• Order promotional materials for students
• Schedule annual Key Club Kiwanis Meeting for each club
• Plan events for Kiwanis Family month (November) & Key Club Week (first week in November)
• Assist clubs in finding service projects that fit their interest area
• Annual Events:
  • Head Start Christmas Give-a-way
  • Dr. Seuss Day at CSCC
  • Kiwanis Family Month (November)
  • Key Club Week (first week in November)
